LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSIST
As an armed uniformed law enforcement auxiliary, the Arizona Rangers can provide additional manpower at the request of any federal, state, county, or local law enforcement authority. All Arizona Rangers undergo a state and national background check and investigation, must hold a current Arizona Concealed Weapons (CCW) Permit, and complete the Arizona Ranger Training Academy (ARTA). Rangers are certified to carry collapsible batons and OC spray, and to meet Arizona POST firearms qualification standards. They also receive Arizona POST training in handcuffing and defensive tactics. Arizona Rangers may undertake specialized training for an agency that requires special duty assistance for which that specific training is given. Many Arizona Rangers have previous law enforcement and/or military experience.
Arizona Rangers can assist your agency with:
- Foot patrols of city or county areas
- Bailiff duty
- Court security details
- Prisoner transport
- Securing crime scenes
- The second man in the car
- Traffic control
- Special public event security (parade, holiday)
- Disaster support patrols
- Search and rescue
- DUI checkpoint assistance
- School Resource Officer
- US Forestry and Fire Department support and assistance
Arizona Rangers work in pairs or with a sworn officer from your department and are always in uniform, armed with a primary sidearm and secondary defensive means. Arizona Rangers exercise powers afforded by the Arizona Revised Statutes or explicitly granted under the authority of the agency being assisted. To carry out their mission, the Arizona Rangers also carry liability insurance.

Community Service
The Arizona Rangers can provide an armed, uniformed security presence at your events throughout the state. We can also offer plain-clothed options as well.

youth support
One of the secondary missions of the Arizona Rangers is supporting youth organizations and activities throughout the State of Arizona. This includes financial and material donations to youth organizations as well as participation in youth organization events.
